Anyone knows how many weeks does NVC take to review initial submission?

Thanks

Hi,

The timeframe is here:  https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/nvc-timeframes.html

it is about 8 weeks but fluctuates. They normally update the processing time each Monday but has been delayed this week.

I re-submitted docs on January 29th, hopefully it gets accepted this month. Here’s to wishing NVC picks up the pace quick 👏🏻

How long did it take to review your resubmitted documents?

It’s closer to 8-9 weeks to review initial submission.

If you have to re-submit, you’re put at the bottom of the pile so can expect to wait around the same amount of time as your initial submission.

Is NVC working or closed after corona virus? I resubmitted one of my document 3 weeks ago and still haven’t heard anything from them.

I resubmitted 8 weeks ago. So don't expect  to hear anytime soon.

It takes about 8 weeks. There does not seem to be a difference from first time submitting documents and resubmitted after they ask for additional documents / or fixed documents. I re-submitted on 24 Feb and am also waiting.

Good luck!

Well guys,

I just received a RFE from nvc after 9 weeks of waiting. My husband's part was invalid docs and my part was incomplete, but when I try to open my part it says application error..

I can’t see what's in there. I don't know what to do!

Thanks nvc alot

Just woke up to see that nvc has updated my status asking me for Additional support document  is required  my wife is living with me in Jordan since August 2018 so we were planning on going to the state together since I can afford the cost of living here for both of us 😡😡😡😡.

What killed me the most is they asked for this after accepting my civil document now it says incomplete

I'm really giving up on this process it's making my wife sick me too & I'm thinking of opening a business here and just live my life . It's the worst time of my life dealing with Uscis & Nvc . I'm done thanks alot all for all the help & information. Wish u all the best
