What a ridiculously mismanaged situation; there's no good reason why these people can't work from home.

There are numerous excellent data security reasons as to why these people can't work from home actually. While they could be doing a lot to improve the situation at work, working from home isn't one of them without millions of dollars being invested in a secure system that even then is extremely susceptible to social hacking. So no, they aren't going to go down the route of making everyone's social security numbers, passport info, family details and other info that are great to know in order to steal additional info, and countless other sensitive documents easily intercepted.

wish you all the best of luck with finishing off the process

All the best, @Duke & Marie!!

The system as it is is just as susceptible to social approaches - even more, in fact, since employees at the office can be targeted by phone. People telework on FAR more critical data than your immigration details; we as a society have decided that the benefits of telework outweigh the risks long before this pandemic, and have come up with excellent secure methods to enable it.

Quick questions guys...

If i have submitted documents already,  please can i still upload and submit more documents and remove documents that i feel are no longer necessary?

Thanks for your support.

Yes, you can submit new documents as much as you want (and delete also). Just remember that whenever you upload something new, your processing time starts from zero (it takes more or less 8 weeks to get DQ).

Take care,

Alix

Hi all! If anyone can help with my question, it'd be greatly appreciated.

I'm currently in the NVC stage (received the ID number for CEAC on Mar 20). The US embassy for our petition is in the London (UK). My husband has been working here for 2 years + on his work visa (he is a Malaysian citizen). However, due to the virus, he has just been laid off and will be moving back to Malaysia. We therefore, have to change the embassy to Malaysia instead of London. How can I go about this and will it delay the process significantly?

Thanks!

Thanks for your response,  yes I did but the number am calling doesn't even give me an option of getting to talk to anyone. That's was my dilemma and I thought there is a way of getting to talk with a real person
