Congratulations and welcome

It should take about a month for USCIS to send your file to NVC and then for NVC to create your case number.

Is there any form we can fill while we wait or we cant fill any of the forms till we  get the welcome letter?

Can you give me a brief explanation of how you started the expedite process? NVC did make a mistake on my mine and caused significant delay, too.

It is a good time to gather your civil and financial documents. From step 4 and step 7: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/step-5-collect-financial-evidence-and-other-supporting-documents/step-7-collect-civil-documents.html

 

Once you have all of those ready, when you receive the NVC welcome letter, all you have to do is pay the fee and upload documents.

Can you send an expedite request again after it has been denied once? My wife has to take this Physician licensing examination in the US but her visa interview(J1 visa) got cancelled due to the recent embassy closures.

Date of submission: February 19

Second submission: March 6 (Second submission was my own decision to add additional documents)

 

DQ: Today, March 20

 

So I guess, you can say that they use the date of your first submission and that you don't go back to the bottom of the line if you decide to add additional documents. 😊
