It's our 2 year anniversary and we got DQ today!  Submitted February 3rd!

Congratulations!! And appreciate you sharing. It's interesting to know that NVC does process submissions much farther than the date they post online. Gives that glimpse of hope for earlier review! Is this normal with NVC?

Just got word that embassy in Islamabad Pakistan has canceled the visa immigration until further notice. So you can add the list to for embassy Islamabad. Dang this sucks!

Hay.. to whome you speak with? I have an interview scheduled in Islamabad embassy in April, but I didn't get any email, call or text from the embassy so far regarding interview cancellation.🤔

Congrats! I am certain that the NVC will be able to work remotely like the USCIS until the virus blows over. It's called the consular electronic application center (CEAC) afterall...

Lets  just hope that embassies and comsulates stay open as well.....Im hoping that glass between the officers and us is a good enough reason to stay open lol

Hello,

I have been reading and rereading all of your wonderful help and advice for everyone's questions.

Now I have a question.  Quick background: My husband has his IR-1 interview in Juarez on March 27, 2020.  We literally have been at this for over 7 years.  We had a lawyer that was useless and then died.

He has the interview.  The only thing that is not "current" because of the lag in time it took for all of this is a police report from the US State he is living in (our 601-A was approved).  The police report from Mexico is current.  Do I need to worry about the one from the states?  Asking because the city office we currently live in is closed to COVID19.

Thank You,

SingleInKY

Police reports are not required from the US, since the US already has access to all those records, so you should be fine

I should have signed up here a LONG time ago!  😀  You guys are wonderful!  Thank You!

In regards to financials, would a letter from his current employer saying he has a job at a certain salary when he comes back into the US?  We did not use a CoSponser on the I864.  My circumstances have changed since the NVC received our paperwork and we haven't said anything about that yet.  So I'm wondering if they ask about financials, he could show that letter.

Was Feb 3rd was your only submission date? I mean you did submitted before too?

We had sent in most documents by January 25th, but then added the petitioner's divorce decree on February 3rd.
