Hello all, I have got the IRS transcript in mail. There's a cover letter with it. Now when uploading IRS transcript to NVC, should I upload the transcript including the cover letter? Thanks in advance!

I hope not, because my cover letters found their way to the trash can rather quickly...

That's because of Montreal, Canada  embassy being backed up. It all depends on your consulate and how much volume they have.

Hey Everyone,

Small question. This is totally kafkaian 🤪... my husband (us citizen)'s Health Insurance is asking for my SSN (social security number) which of course, I don't have yet, to add me on his Health Insurance plan.

Does any of you know when we get that number, at what stage? Before/after/at the same time we get the green card?

Many thanks for your patience,

Alix

But I also have two messages.  Neither message has any text.

Click on the messages and leave them open for a few minutes for them to load; my guess is unfortunately not DQ since usually you will get a message saying your case has become documentarily qualified

Our CR1 Journey:

USCIS Stage:

  • Feb 14 2019: NOA1 (NSC)
  • July 31 2019: I129f NOA1
  • Sep 19 2019: I129f NOA2 (Denied - 50 days from NOA1)
  • Sep 19 2019: I130 NOA2 (Approved - 217 days from NOA1)

NVC Stage:

  • Sep 27 2019: Sent to Department of State
  • Oct 31 2019: Case number received (34 days since sent)
  • Nov 1 2019: IV & AOS fees received & paid
  • Nov 14 2019: IV & AOS submitted
  • Dec 18 2019: All docs accepted, but one additional doc requested (5 weeks from submission)
  • Dec 18 2019: Requested doc submitted
  • Feb 19 2020: Documentarily Qualified (9 weeks from 2nd submission, 14 weeks from first submission)

Interview Stage:

  • Mar 11 2020: Interview letter received
  • Apr 1 2020: Interview date
  • Mar 17 2020: Interview cancelled due to COVID-19
  • August 3 2020: Rescheduled letter received, new appointment August 25 2020
  • August 25 2020: Visa approved at interview! (558 days from NOA1)
  • September 10 2020: Embassy received passport in mail
  • September 15 2020: Passport with visa in hand

October 11 2020: Arrived in US!

Thank god! Got my DQ email today from the NVC

Submitted 01/09/2020 - first and only submission.

I did not submit my DS5540 Public Charge Questionnaire but it was advised by my Lawyer to fill this out and bring it to the interview.

Congratulations 🎉👏

Hello, Appreciate your feedback regarding a 1099 document that I uploaded as part of additional AOS as a petitioner and this upload is tilted left. Considering that all other documents were uploaded fine and this one being an additional AOS, would NVC reject this and need a fresh upload? I did call NVC and was advised that NVC has not been rejecting such documents since last few months but it boils down to the document reviewer. Going back in line for this is causing a heartache 🙄

Any thoughts?

Random question,

If your submission/resubmission date is past the date thats posted online, does that give you more leeway when calling NVC?

Like if you submitted Jan 1 and the site says they're reviewing Jan 4.

FYI, this is not my current situation, just curious.
