Is anyone else worried about the corona virus impacting their cases?  My husband is from Japan and I'm worried they could close the embassies or put issuing new visas on hold if it continues to spread.

Just one more thing about this process to keep me up at night!😩

Hello Bel044,

No you are not the only one to worry about it.

I imagine the Embassies could close for 2 or 3 weeks at the most. So it would postpone everything that same amount of time.

Also I worry about certain countries being banned (in my case, Europe, since it is now a major cluster) until the situation is looking better (when? noone knows)

There is nothing we can do about it. 😔

USCIS - FILING FOR I-751 (CR1)

May 21st 2022 : package sent (with Fedex / Delivered on May 23rd)

May 27th 2022: case received with Receipt # (NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER)

May 31st 2022: NOA received. I-797 (24months extension)

June 11th 2022: NOA for a Biometrics appointment (set for June 30th - need to reschedule it - not in the US on that day! 😱)

June 14th 2022: walk in at the Center - all went well. Biometrics done!

December 8th 2022: Received a Notice of Action. I-751 APPROVED! 🎉

December 10th 2022: New GreenCard received in the mail 🥳

I am wondering if anyone can help me post this question at the right place:

I mailed my application to Chicago on Feb 22 for Adjustment of status, and it was received on Feb 24. However, I still have received any notification, no fund was withdrawn from my bank account. This is making me worried a lot nowadays...What could be the reason of this delay?

- Feb 22 2020 - Mailed Application (I-130, I-845....) to Chicago

- April 22 2020 - NOA 1

- June 1 2020 - RFE for I-944

- June 24 2020 - Replied to RFE

- Oct 25 2020 - Fingerprint done

- Nov 9 2020 - Case ready to be scheduled for interview

I'm worried as well. I want to attend the interview with my spouse in Vietnam when the time comes. At the current of cases spreading. I think Vietnam might place some travel restrictions in the US.

Hi, what type of visa are you adjusting status from? Here is the forum for adjusting status from work/tourist/student visa, and the forum for adjusting status from K1 visa, depending on which one you are adjusting status from. You may be able to find answers in one of those, since us here at NVC are not adjusting status but instead applying for visas from outside of the US

Does anyone know if we need to bring the original I-864 form with wet ink signature to the interview? I might not be able to attend the interview with my spouse and sending mail to the rural area in Vietnam from the US is not very reliable.

I read on the embassy website that copy or scanned version is OK, but logging into CEAC states that we should bring original of what we uploaded for AOS documents. Anyone has experience on this?

If the embassy says it's okay to bring a scanned version then I think you should be fine, afaik embassy's instructions > NVC instructions

Looks like travel.state.gov made some changes to their page, they do not require you to bring the AOS and financial documents to the interview anymore but I would check with the embassy to be on a safe side. For most embassies a copy was ok.

Thank you, I saw that as well. Just the red text in CEAC confused me, maybe they forgot to update CEAC.

So I think it is best to email your beneficiary's embassy for clarification.
