Ow noooo! :( Let's hope you won't have to wait for 8 more weeks. Try to call them once the new form is uploaded. We've seen cases here where people called, and their case got solved withing couple of days. Will be praying for you. Don't worry.

Thank you so much for your encouragement.  I will call Monday.  The agent I spoke with was amazing!  Hope I get her again lol

Oh no !! I am so sorry for you 🙁

did you tried to contact your local congressman to ask some help ?
that’s what helped us in January when we received the 2nd RFR for no reason ..

No I just resubmitted everything again.  They are even asking again for things I've already submitted and had accepted!  I think they hire people right out of the insane asylum!!  This process has literally given me grey hairs.  I never had any until a few months ago.  Yikes!  I'm gonna chalk it up to the fact this is God's timing for her to arrive.  I'm not going to stress anymore.  Thank you for your support!

Oh my ..

they did the same to us ( asking papeworks already submitted and accepted ) that’s why we called the local congressmen .
i never had such rude people on the phone , and when you had to try sometimes 50 times before being on hold for more than an hour you expect to have someone nice but no !
i understand your stress I was the same .

its gonna happen don’t worry , soon , they can’t keep you under RFE forever .
We’ve been in the same c*** for almost 19 month so I understand the pain , the stress , the doubt ..

your time will come , soon my friend , you will see 🍀

good luck !

Probably a stupid question, but I'm filling out the DS5540 and it asks for "location of assets". The drop-down menu for 'type of asset' already offers the option of picking "bank account checking/ savings", so do for the location of asset part I really don't know what to put. Do I just put "bank account" again?

This form isn't worded very clearly and doesn't even have official instructions yet. I feel we're a bunch of guinea pigs lol

Our CR1/ IR1 Journey:

USCIS Stage:

  • Feb 5 2020: Approved I-130 Sent to NVC (12 days after I-824 NOA2)

  • February 16 2020: Expedite Request Sent - Financial Hardship
  • March 7 2020: Case Number Created (23 days after NVC receipt)

We got DQ’d today but my I864 EZ was rejected. I have to submit I864 form I guess; awaiting on the phone to talk to someone; now I’m pissed we might have to wait another 1800 days to get a full DQ..

Update submitted I864; along with Divorce decree which they needed at the time of submitting the AOS. Wasn’t aware of that!! So if you have been married previously submit the divorce paperwork or they will ask for it. The way the representative explained to me is, everything at NVC is being done electronically so that’s why the documents are being requested again. IF YOU ARE NEW AT THIS PLEASE submit as much as you can when submitting AOS documents. Positive note: Civil documents and AOS documents (IE: Tax Info. & W2s) were accepted; did not have to resubmit anything on that part but....I’m hopefully looking to wait again for how long??? Anyone had to resubmit docs.? If so how long did you have to wait??? 🙏🏽🙄🤯🧐

Random thought for the evening. Wouldn’t it be nice if we could have sent / uploaded everything (USCIS & NVC) @ the same  time? That way there wouldn’t be two separate wait times.

Yes! That sounds ideal.

Your kidding right? Why on earth would any government body want to reduce double handling and simplification of any process that might actually save on time and money? Far too logical, not to mention convenient 🙄

They asked to select country but I didn’t see USA

Since it doesn’t show the USA I put no on that question. We already give the US travel before On another question so I assume it means any other country.

Question... I'm really paranoid right now and I'm sure it's fine but when I used a scanner app on my phone to scan all of my documents, I showed a small amount of the background that I took the picture on so that the NVC knew for sure I didn't cut off any border. Is that ok? Or do I have to crop off the background and just leave the document? (By the way, the documents are totally legible and take up most of the screen)

Also...as far as uploading passport pictures, does it HAVE to be 2x2 American size when we are just uploading it to CEAC? I have the 2x2s for the interview but I want to know if they'll accept the international size for CEAC.

The document photographs are fine.. even though they ask for 2x2 they accepted mine which are international sizings..  I wouldn’t worry too much
