Hi I am a bit confused. I was born in the Netherlands, then moved to Norway for 3 years, then dubai for 10 months and then back in the Netherlands. I know I need the Police certificate for Norway and the Netherlands, but I do need it for Dubai as well?

Thanks!

If you lived somewhere for more than 6 months after the age of 16, then you need a police report.

Insurance company quotes? I didn't get it... I thought that details regarding employers group insurance policy is enough. Can you please explain how Insurance company involved in this in detail.

@AarLar also note that if it’s 3 months one year, and then 4 months A few years later, that is technically 7 months, so would require police clearance!

I didn’t realize this so it put me back a couple weeks while I waited for one from England!

Hi everyone, we are currently on NVC stage, we first submitted all the documents last February 19, but my husband didn't upload his W-2. He said that it's not needed because he already submitted his tax return. We had a little argument about it because I keep on bringing it up and asking him if it's really not needed. And since he didn't want to prolong the argument he uploaded his W2 just now without me knowing it first. 🤦‍♀

So my question is, since the date of our last submission is today, do I have to upload my DS-5540? And if I do, do I have to upload as well evidences to support the things stated in DS-5540? I'm really confused about the whole public charge thing and NVC stage is  stressing me out...😣

Same question I have in my mind regarding public Charge Questionare. What to upload as proof or just a form will suffice?

And if we upload today, will the clock resets? Or they consider first submission?

Boo, I was hoping to avoid this. The UAE one is such a pain to get. ☹️

I found the link with the info I read that got me confused. This says more than 12 months? @Hilde @Tofu

@AarLar the requirement to submit police clearance will populate based off of what you input as your home addresses since you were 16 years old. (That’s how I knew I needed the one from the UK).

Did you just find out today? That means they’re still reviewing cases for 31st Dec.... NVC is seriously lagging, what is the deal :(

Given she’s your wife, one would hope you would liquidate your assets and make them available to her in the event of a medical emergency.. so I would say yes to this, and list both hers and your assets under this section.

I don’t know 100% for sure... but if I’m not mistaken, I believe it’s “household assets” which would mean both. That is what I am hoping / how I am understanding it anyways..

Hopefully that's true and that's what I want to do, since my wife is young with literally no assets and living with her parents right now.

I submitted on September 17 for the very first time. Got email later in October cause we made a mistake uploading documents under joint sponsor instead of household member. Then the second submission was November 3 or 5. Got another email on December 30 that we needed to upload IRS household's member. We uploaded that with W2, 1099, etc on December 31 and finally I got DQ today.

That was very long and stressful!
