Feb 4: expedite requested

Feb 11: emailed Australian embassy asking for expedite update

Feb 12: email back from NVC acknowledging expedite

Feb 17: email from AusItalian embassy saying my expedite is under review

March 3 morning: called NVC to check on status

March 3 afternoon: expedite APPROVED!

Now to wait for my interview letter from Sydney...I'm guessing in about 2-4 weeks time? Sorry if this has been asked before, but are we allowed to do the medical without an interview date?

Hi everyone! I had my interview today at the London Embassy. The officer asked me quite a lot of questions compared to some of my fellow brits on this forum. I was asked the following question: what does my husband do for work? Where does my husband lives? How did we meet? When was the first time we saw each other? When did he proposed? When did we get married? Who came to our wedding? How often do we talk? When was the last time I saw him? She also asked to see some pictures of my husband and I (Thank God I came prepared with pic!). She finally said I am happy to tell you that I am going to approve your visa. So overall I was not asked to provide a DS-5540 at all(there was no mention of it during the interview). Now just waiting to collect my passport with my stamp on it. Planning to move in end of June coz I have plenty of stuff to do it here before I leave. I have been waiting for 2 years since my hubby filed in December 2017 as a green card holder and then we upgraded in August as an American Citizen. This forum has been a blessing in many many ways, I want to say a huge Thank you to everyone. Although this is over for me, my son’s file is still stuck in Nebraska so 😢, hopefully soon he can join us.

We had the CR1 spouse interview in mumbai.  it went good and visa is approved. Thanks to all the folks on these forums for sharing useful guidance and data. It really helps.

The interview questions were straightforward but there were lots of them ! They really ask al ot of questions on how you met, the dates, job related questions on the sponsor,  hobbies of the partner, last movie they saw, how much you have met etc. There were no questions or ask on public charge.

Thanks again to the folks and all the best for the ones on the visa journey.

What?? I thought latest version was out on Oct 15, 2019?

The new the date on the bottom left corner says Oct 15, 2019. However, I downloaded the form in Dec 2019 and it was dated 03/06/2018 (Expiring 03/31/2020).

I might be wrong on the form being released on Feb 24th 2020. However, it was definitely released after Dec 16th 2019 as that is when I download and filled the previous version (approved by NVC).

It's possible the form was intended to be released on Oct 15, 2019 but was put on hold due to the courts blocking public charge.

Good morning family!! I am so excited today!! I check the website and saw this!! Let my husband and I journey give you hope. We were one of the first interviews since the ban, we did not file any paperwork regarding a waiver, it was automatically considered and a week exactly after our interview, it says his visa has been issued!! Oh, God is so real!!!

Congrats. But did you say she got the Visa,??? From which Embassy?

They dont issue visa on the spot.

I believe her passport was collected if that is what you mean.

Thanks

Right. The consulate in Kathmandu, Nepal gives you a note saying visa is approved after the interview (they verbally say that as well) and instructions on how to collect the passport in 3 days. This is why I said she got the visa (not literally of course :) )
