Before the pandemic how long would it take for interviews to be conducted once the package arrives in the embassy? Does anybody know

That depends on each embassy. According to the consulate info here on visa journey, Dominican Republic was 2-4 months for interview from the time it arrived at the embassy. I’m so excited for you!!

Heads up, i was able to pay the ds160 fee today on the ais website for the first time.  I’ll be looking at it daily to see when appointments become available.

Looks like we have an interview for March 24th!!! My fiancé got a call today but here’s the weird part. All visas of the like are handled in cuidad Juarez but they instructed us to go to Mexico City for our interview 😳 my fiancé is going to call to verify once she’s out of work. And yes, ceac did update today as well!04B086A8-9BDA-4632-BFAF-D041A7C80CEA.thumb.jpeg.e06c7aa31402efc8b05389e0880dd492.jpeg

@In4theJourney Hey just to clarify, I was able to pay the fee on the ais website also. Did they call your fiance after that? Have they sent you a P3 yet?

Yes they did! They called her literally hours after I paid. She is in Mexico. So make sure your fiancé answers a potential number that starts with “55”. My fiancé told me “55” is usually a number spammers call with but miraculously she decided to answer this time. On ais, did Mexico City have appointments available? Did you see any ?

Yes, they sent us 2 emails. Appointment letterhead and p2 I believe. If I were you, I would probably call to see if you can interview that day or sometime soon. I would definitely do that if you don’t hear back by 1pm mountain time today. I believe they are like 2 hours ahead in CDMX

Should I call CDMX or Ciudad Juarez?

This is the number the call came from. I will ask my fiancé to clarify which number she called. I’m pretty sure it wasn’t Juarez. From my experience it’s been a pain in the ### to get in contact with Juarez i imagine it’s the same with CDMX if not worse.
