I didn't have to do anything either with NVC nor the embassy btw

Would anyone happen to know what it means when ceac updates? I had my ceac at “ready” since April 15 2020 and last Friday the 19 2021 it was updated. I just saw today 25th was also updated.

I am wondering the same thing on this. My case says it was last updated on February 26th 2021 but still the same status. It has said Ready at Juarez since March 2020. Would @Greenbaum know about this?

This happened to us too. I was told it doesn’t mean anything though, just that they took a look at our case and that’s it.

I see. The only difference is that Mexico is open and Philippines is not.

Haven’t seen greenbaum around. Hope he is okay. Hopefully we get our appointments soon! I know you’ve been waiting just as long as I have. Seems like everyone else in this thread just disappeared or relationship didn’t make it...

Checking in with the thread! We're still waiting for the embassy in Moscow to open. Russia has resumed processing B1/B2 visas, but nothing on K1 yet.

I can confirm that the CEAC status updates whenever they look at your case. I submitted an e-mail to the embassy asking if the K1 expiration date would be extended due to the closures.

They let me know that they will send an e-mail and request us to re-confirm that we still intend to get married, then continue the process where we left off.

The status date on CEAC for the case was updated on the date they checked the case and responded to our request and still shows "Ready".

Hope everyone here is holding strong and doing well!

Embassy in Philippines is open, but only doing expedited and emergency cases for fiancé visas at the moment.

Where do you see the status date? Is this when you are doing the “check my visa application status”? Mine has been the same since April 2020. It just says “At NVC” but no dates listed. It sounds like your petition may be at the embassy, so perhaps that is the difference.

Hey everyone :)

Checking in...we are still waiting as well. Our petition has been at the NVC since April. Colombia has been closed but they have spent the last couple of months catching up on interviews that got cancelled last year. They finally provided an update last Friday that they are resuming limited visa services with priority on spouses and fiancé’s and will begin accepting petitions. Our NOA2 is March 30 so I am hoping we will be close to the front of the line. I’m feeling so anxious for any movement..I’m ready to have my fiancé here!
