Finally got my interview date! August 24.

It's 7 months from now, but it's still good.

@Friends from Italy, get yours asap!

You got an interview with the travel ban still in place?! That's great news!

Yes! They sent our and a whole lot of other people's case to the embassy in December and opened interviews for August 😊

Awesome!!! Congratulations!! That gives me hope that Moscow embassy might open soon too. We've heard nothing and we aren't even affected by a travel ban

It's a US Federal Holiday for Dr. Martin Luther King. Try again tomorrow.

Thanks. Was able to reach them today and get the invoice number. Can I pay those fees and do the other steps (affidavit, submit documents) before the interview or am I supposed to wait?

In Mexico you do need the letter from the consulate as the beneficiary will be asked for it at the medical, during biometrics, and at the consulate interview. In all cases also need it to get the Police certificate.

You can move forward to fill out the DS-160 but wait to schedule the medical, biometrics and interview until you have the letter with you.

For what I have read if the letter doesn't arrive you can ask for a copy in the Information Window in the consulate in Ciudad Juarez. Doing the Biometrics and Medical in Mexico City and only the Interview in Ciudad Juarez you do need to wait for the letter.

There is additional information in the PDF link on the first page, first post. Good luck and stay engaged in the process.

Do you have any idea if they are giving copies of the p3 at the information window now or was that pre covid?

Just wanted to chime in and let you all know that my request was granted today! I received an email from NVC stating that they have moved our petition. :)

He Bri don’t know if you remember me but I also have my Venezuelan fiancé in Peru. I kno yours is in Venezuela now but I was wondering if your case arrived at bogota embassy yet. And if not I would love to know when it does. Mayb this can be another option for us since our case has been at NVC since July and as you kno Peru has not yet opened the embassy. Mayb if I get ours transferred to Columbia we can get some progress. Let me know how it’s goin please and thank you!

Hi!! Yes I remember :) our petition has been set to Bogota but has not been sent yet. But Bogota is actually processing, just at a very slow pace. The chatter I have heard on these forums is that they are catching up on cancelled interviews from last March/April and moving on from there. Hopefully we have just a few months before we hear something (that’s my hope, anyway).

I know Peru is still in bad shape. What I am unsure about is if our petition will still be pulled with the March 2020 approvals or if it has been moved to the bottom since they rerouted it..we will find out in time. If you go to the regional discussion board there are quite a few people discussing Bogota so it may help you decide.

Hello everyone, as the 1 year anniversary approaches for our March 2020 group, I had a question and wondering if anyone has any info on this.

I saw someone on Facebook that posted her case (k1) has been “expired” due to not contacting the NVC within a year. As my case (and probably many of yours) is reaching the NVC 1 year anniversary, I am wondering what the next steps are?

my ceac reads, READY. Last movement April 15th 2020

If they were informed that their petition expired due to not contacting the NVC, then I would advise you reach out to the NVC and your embassy regarding your case.

My petition still shows “At NVC”. Is yours at the embassy? Whoever has it, that is likely who you will want to contact.

At consulate. Emailed NVC last year and they don’t have my case they said. Ok thanks, I’ll make an inquiry about my case
