It's looking like it will be years when you consider all that is going on right now.

How did you arrive at that quantitative answer? There has been nothing published to substantiate your hypothesis. I hate for you to have a defeatist attitude when there are others who have waited much longer then you. Some, one to three years.

Use the search box at the top of the page, left hand sign and search for other who had a long wait.

While you are waiting, we need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Thanks

i’ve read in another thread that the consulates are waiting for the entire country to be in a phase 3 of reopening or something equivalent since they get people from all over canada. Perhaps this is why they’re still closed?

I think that is a reasonable request as many are coming from all parts of Canada and this action will slow the spread.

I think you're right about that, it would make a lot of sense! I know my province is in phase 3 but I believe there are parts of Ontario and possibly Quebec that are in phase 2.

yeah some parts of ontario went into phase 3 today but not all of it. I think that explanation would make sense

FYI. Their time and your time are different. CR-1 will go first followed by K-1's. We are already seeing this from some of the early embassies who are opening. Just saying.

It depends on the country. In my country Thrump already banned all immigrant visas earlier this year except for some with  special cases.

Since I follow all the embassies, my knowledge is vast, and Nigeria is in the top five most difficult embassies to get a visa from. Yes, it does depend on the embassy and the country. And yes, Trump not Thrump took the necessary steps to protect the American citizen. As I see it, a visa from the US is a gift and not something that is guaranteed and that is mostly true for all countries. Just keeping it real.

Does the I-134 need a wet signature for the interview or would a scanned and printed copy work?

Scan and printed is fine for the interview.

@Greenbaum Do you have the P3 from the Lima Perú embassy?

I don't have a Packet 3 letter that has all the requirements for your upcoming interview but what I have I will share below. Once you get in touch with your Embassy and they send you the P3 letter with all the requirements if would be so kind and share a copy with me then I can use it to help others in the future. Thanks.
