My status finally updated to READY at the Sydney consulate! I am stoked. I am going to pay the fee for K1 and K2 now and see where that leaves me. I wonder if they will give me an interview date and when it will be. I think going ahead is the right thing to do right now. I did my DS-160s about a month ago, but nothing has changed so they should still be ok, right?

Your current DS-160 is fine. If you have any changes between now and the interview just give those changes to the CO at the interview. It's done all the time. Good luck and continued safe journey's.

Now looking at my case number and @Greenbaums PDF I am seeing that my case is being sent to Bangkok, even though we requested Rangon, Myanmar.  My fiance is Burmese (from Myanmar) but lives in Thailand, we wanted to go through Myanmar thinking it would be a faster process as they have far fewer immigrant applications, like 10% of Thailand....

The address for the beneficiary that was submitted on the I-129f is the location that USCIS uses for the interview. You can request a different location but now it can take 30-60 days under a normal climate but under the current pandemic who knows how long it will take. Not too muddy the waters, I recommend doing everything there in Thailand.

My fiancé emailed askNVC about four days ago asking for case number, and today they replied and provided it.  I actually told him he shouldn't have done that since NVC is reduced staff and wouldn't reply, then 12 hours later they replied - made me look a fool!

Join the club. Many have made me to be the fool mostly without merit. :D

Hey guys in case you haven’t seen it or signed it. Someone created a petition to allow for immediate family and fiancés to be exempt from the executive order. Go ahead and sign if you can. Doesn’t hurt.

We finally made it to NVC stage, but no number generated yet. They told me that our paperwork has entered the building but no receipt assignment yet. Hopefully we get it later today and we can start our DS-160. Any progress at this point is ok by me!

I was getting a little nervous as they haven't received our paperwork yet, but it looks like we are on a similar timeline. Good to know!

The NVC website states they suspended the non immigration visa phone number. They will still answer if I call the other number?

It has been almost 5 weeks since NOA2 the NVC has yet to receive my petition. Anyone else having this issue?

Yes, it's been 4 weeks for us now. But it can take up to 6 weeks as normal processing times. NVC recommended to call back again once a week. Good luck! 🍀
