Qual departamento? Você quer dizer USCIS? Para o visto K-1, o USCIS nunca foi aberto ao público. Os escritórios locais do USCIS estão abrindo em breve para processar entrevistas de AOS , biometria e entrevistas de nacionalização.

So, I don't know .... so I asked if there is any truth to that .... some processes are going out more quickly ... here on the website it said that my friend who applied for a wife visa would only be approved in September and it passed now in May!

I have a friend who applied for a wife visa in February and has just been approved .. in addition she is in a group of girls whatapp that she met here on the forum that has more than 70 girls who were approved as well .... most or less in the same period .... 3 months ...

Can I share somethings with you that I learned long ago about this process?

    • "the man with the gold makes the rules"
    • it will take as long as it will take
    • no one with any certainty can tell you when some process will be completed
    • Your sense of urgency will never be equaled to what USCIS, NVC or your embassy demonstrates
    • Your journey is not going to mirror someone else's experience - yours and theirs are not the same
    • They only promised you a YES or NO answer. Never an exact time that their decision would be completed
    • Lowering your expectations will make you a much more relaxed individual

Good luck on your journey

Posso compartilhar algo que aprendi há muito tempo sobre esse processo?

    • "o homem de ouro faz as regras"
    • levará o tempo que for necessário

Yes, you can only wait. This is not distressing because you control your stress level with how high you set your expectations. If you expect something tomorrow and it doesn't happen until next week and you were so counting on it to happen tomorrow you have just set yourself up for disappointment. That is my point and what I have learned.

Actually... You can do more than just wait...

How about preparing as much as you can for the next steps? Research what comes after you get your NOA2 and start working on it, so when you do get some good news, you're fully prepared to move forward. Plus, it'll keep you distracted from checking multiple times whether your case has gone yet...

If you were to do a search, which I have for you, you would find more who have negative remarks to say about their experience with RV then say positive things about the firm. Look for yourself as here is the link to the search I just did https://www.visajourney.com/sitesearch/?cx=partner-pub-3407508467788263%3A9725800110&cof=FORID%3A10&ie=UTF-8&q=rapid+visa&sa=Search

Anyone have an idea when the us embassy will open in the Dominican Republic? I thought when America opened they will be too, but it doesn’t seem to be the case.

Hey @Luis and tifa!

Everything is going to depend solely on the DR government and regulations. They will be the ones to determine when things open up. Doing a quick search it does look like they anticipate opening up airports July 1st for tourism (https://www.fltimes.com/news/nation/dominican-republic-to-reopen-for-tourism-on-july-1/article_0372858d-74d7-5817-98d9-ae1a99927d8d.html), which I normally would take as promising but I can definitely understand the financial pressures of their economy relying on the income from tourism.

If you look at the US Embassy in DR (https://do.usembassy.gov/visa-application-center-vac-processing-interview-waiver-cases-starting-june-15/) they state the following:

As of June 15, the Visa Application Center (VAC) will start processing nonimmigrant visa applications for eligible interview waiver cases only. The VAC and the Embassy are still closed for all routine cases that require interviews. To determine your eligibility for an interview waiver nonimmigrant visa and schedule an appointment please see: https://www.ustraveldocs.com/do/

What I take from this is they will not be processing visas that require interviews just yet. Look at the site and see if I missed something, I feel that it's all promising for the future. Hang in there!

Just out of curiosity, why are you talking with an immigration lawyer? You already submitted your petition, correct?

Almost on my third month. Waiting is getting me anxious. 😵😵😄

We will get there :) I think it's pretty safe to assume that it probably is not likely that any of us will hear until next month at the earliest now... The most recent petition approvals have been taking longer that those lucky few that got through in 3 months. I'm going to assume at least 4.5 months to hear something, maybe longer, and be pleasantly surprised if it's sooner.

Hang in there!! It will come!
