Welcome to the thread. We are glad you joined. There is a great community of supporters here and we hope that you stay engaged and you give back where you can. Now onto your questions.

VJ is only a guesstimate based solely on the information provided by its members. Since there hundreds if not thousands of others outside VJ vying for a visa, the sampling for the guesstimation is only centered on VJ participants of those that keep up with their timeline. Many don't, so you can't put much weight on the accuracy of that notice.

You're better off using the timeline section found here https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/ to get an idea when people are getting approved for a certain visa.

Hello everyone, I’ve a simple question

does it have a negative remark if the beneficiary of the K-1 visa is unemployed?,  I currently live in UAE where I’ve started my K-1 visa process and I’ve lost my job now. So does this effect the situation at the time of filling the DA-160 form and interview with the embassy at the later stage?
I know it’s a long term scenario situation but the thought just makes me nervous now.

No effect at all for the beneficary if not working petitioner is another thing.

The beneficiary is saddled with the proof that they can support the "new" family nucleus. Employment from the petitioner is not primary but it's my opinion that it would factor in if the case is borderline, though there is nothing "official" that states that the employment of the petitioner has any bearing on the case. Good luck and stay engaged.

Any march filers get approved yet? My anxiety is killing me especially after hearing the news of immigration struggling to receive funding.

Nothing yet. I think there would've been bigger news if the lack of funding was going to be a real issue. Stay positive.

The way I'm reading this (and it could be my ridiculous optimism) is that it shouldn't affect anything currently in the line, as it'll be over the summer that funding declines, and they're adding a 10% surcharge from now on to help cover costs...

@Luis and tifa I imagine the very, very earliest any of us would hear anything from the USCIS would be next month. Likely longer than that. It looks like the earliest anyone in the previous months is getting some sort of news (either NOA2 or RFE) is about 3 months, many are longer than that. So, for the time being... I'm just going to sit back and focus on the things I can control in my personal life as is my fiance. When we hear from them, we hear from them 😁

You guys on here are very helpful and supportive. It feels good to be around people who are going through the same thing.

@Luis and tifa yes, you’re absolutely right about it and I’m on the same page as you guys. @kswheezy It’s good to see some optimistic post and Thanks for sharing such thoughts in here. I admit it must be hard for everyone to anxiously wait, but that’s the key for the K-1 visa filers i guess. It’s comforting to know that you’re not alone on this journey and there are many people heading towards the same shore.
hope things will be smooth and easy for everyone this year.
P.S @JL0583 I didn’t even open the link for the news and was counting on your ridiculous optimism ☺️😃
