Not a thing... 30 days ago our status changed to 'Response To USCIS Request For Evidence Was Received'. It was only a tick box that was missed... So it's frustrating, but there's nothing more we can do. We tried getting the man with the gold involved, but to no avail. we've lowered our expectations dramatically, and yet there's still anxiety.

We know that our timeline is completely different to others, but it doesn't change the fact we're still down that there's no movement.

It is what it is.

Just something to chew on. If your file had gone to NVC without the checkmark than NVC would have caught it, as the many times do, and then they would returned it to USCIS, at which time USCIS mail you the RFE. Be glad they caught it before NVC. Just saying.

It has been 9 days today and I don't have my RFE in the mail yet :( .

Why is it taking that long? Do they not send it out right away because I know the mail is being delivered normally

We don't know the process. It's not like the IO prints it off, folds it then puts in the envelope only to lick and stamp and then they walk down to the mail room 10 stories down. Not the best proces if it were true. It's just a guessing game of how it works.

Hey guys just wanted to post a quick update. My NOA1 was March 5, and today was my visa interview at the US embassy Abu Dhabi, UAE. And we got approved!! The Abu Dhabi embassy has resumed interviews for K1. I hope all of your cases move along really quickly as well! Hang in there, the backlogs with the embassies arent as bad as they seem now, once you get through the USCIS approval. Good luck everyone! ❤️

Wow and congratulations to you both!

So happy to hear that the US Embassy in Abu Dhabi have started the interview process.

I am also based in UAE but still awaiting my NAO2 approval. My file was received on 31 March 2020.

Are you in mainland China? If so, there's an update on the President's China proclamation. Today, a federal judge ordered DOS to not use the proclamation as an excuse for not issuing K-1 visas: https://www.courtlistener.com/docket/18450386/milligan-v-pompeo/ So you should now be able to get the K-1 visa. But if you don't meet one of the exemptions (e.g. biological parent of US citizen child, NIE, etc.) then you can't travel directly to the US. You would need to go to unrestricted country (e.g. Malaysia, South Korea, Serbia, Croatia, Turkey, Mexico, etc.) for 14 days before attempting US entry. Here is an example of someone from mainland China spending at least 14 days in Malaysia before going to the US with K-1 visa:

Thank you very much for these information! Apparently, I'm not aware of that at all..

.

I actually live in Montreal Canada with Canadian permanent residency, but I'm a Chinese citizen. I hope the travel ban would NOT affect my K1 though. Montreal is pretty bad now with all the increased COVID cases, if that has anything to do with the pandemic.

Then there is no Presidential proclamation to worry about in your case. There is the CBP land/ferry border restriction, though. So you would need to fly into the US.
