I checked my case again yesterday and saw my approval date changed from Oct 26 to Oct 28.  I already received NOA2 through snail mail with NOA2 approval date of Oct 26.  Not sure why I got another approval on Oct 28. Nothing in the mail yet for this Oct 28 date.

Thank you. It's really sad it's taken this long, when it shouldn't since they received the required documents. Hope you hear soon.

Pakistan is a difficult embassy to process to. USCIS is doing background checks and on your country, it's takes a little longer. Each person is different, with diverse cultures, different country's, different governments etc.

This is unfortunate. Makes me curious as to how simple your case is. Have either of you been married/have kids/have stuff in your background checks?

Hope you hear back soon.

@Talita_Travis we are also now 240 days and still counting. How do you know when can inquiry 2 be sent by us? Are there any specific conditions under which we can do that? I am wondering how long is it going to be before we get to hear at least something from USCIS 😑🥺

We did our 1st inquiry on 16th Oct and got reply (they told to expect a response by 7th Nov). We got another mail from them on 27th Oct stating that our case is being adjudicated right now. And nothing after that till today. Now can we do 2nd inquiry after 16th Nov or need to wait till 27th Nov?

We too wish you loads of good luck. Hope you get approval soon. 🤗

Hello all,

I would like to throw my hat in the ring and just give an update on where my fiance and I are to help put others at ease with more information. It’s not necessarily amazing info, but may help you feel your case is more “normal” as we are also still waiting.

Fiance is from Korea. California is our service center. Our I-797C says our receipt date is March 31, 2020. We are still waiting for NOA2 (226 days of waiting as of today). Fell out of normal processing times window at the end of October. Sent inquiry/outside normal processing time request start of November and was told wait until Nov.25, 2020.

I’m happy I found this forum because now I feel more at ease knowing there are a lot of delays. I was getting paranoid that we were delayed because we are a same sex couple.

Nice to see someone on the same date as us!
we are also March 31,2020. Raised our inquiry after the normal processing time (Oct 31,2020) and got the response on Nov 6,2020 as attached  in the picture below.
Hang  in there and good news will follow along. I’m trying to keep my expectations as low as I can , so it will be a big surprise when I hear it before than I anticipate.

I know it’s difficult but the least we can do right now , and also happy to see some movement on March 16/17 dates last week. So we are getting there and maybe in next couple of weeks will be us!!!
stay safe and well everyone....
