I have a question, what date is matter, when the case was received (March 18) or when the NOA sent (March 23)?

Neither really matters.  But the chart that is being updated on this thread shows Receipt Date since that is what the trackers use for obtaining that data.  For VJ timelines, people tend to put either (I use my Notice Date for my timeline).

The NOA1 date is the "notice date" printed on the hardcopy that you received, and you can locate from this example: https://www.visajourney.com/images/noa-date.jpg

My application March 3rd still says "Case was received" in the case tracker app. Really they have not even started working on my case yet after 7 months, this is ridiculous 😖😠. Are there still chances of getting RFE when they actually work on the case then?

I think you only get an rfe if there is an error or if they require more paperwork.

@Nishris have you opened an inquiry with the USCIS about your case?

Edit: ignore that, I just searched back up in the feed and saw that you had. 😕 Sorry, hopefully you will get some good news soon.

Rationally speaking the case tracker app is from a third party and not a USCIS sanctioned app. Do you "really" think it's a promising idea to place all your faith in a third party app? If you "really" wanted to know what is involved, then read the article from the first post in this thread. It will be the second link. https://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/744594-august-2020-i-129f-k-1-filers/#comments

With millions of applications for several different visa offerings how does a seven month wait seem "ridiculous"? Did they promise you an answer on a given date and since in your eyes they didn't meet that deadline making it "ridiculous"?  I haven't read anywhere that it is written that they are required to notify you by a certain date but according to your diatribe it should be acted upon well within your timetable. They only promised a yes or no answer not when you wanted it to be completed.

To your chagrin they have been working on your case and yes when the background checks come back and they have gone over your evidence to determine if you have satisfied their requirements, one being the poof that your relationship is genuine, and all documents meet their requirements then you can expect an approval. If you have fallen short of any one of these requirements, then you shall receive and RFE or a NOID.

Until you are approved, you'll always stand a chance of an RFE or NOID would be issued.

Lower your expectations to meet the current environment and your outlook will be brighter. Good luck and stay engaged.

7 and a half months is well beyond processing times from USCIS and warrants your frustration. We are same day.   But stay positive, you are almost there.. A case inquiry will get you a response within 30 days. Goodluck

And there is always a chance of RFE.

Hi there, I have the same doubt. Every time I check our case on the official website it says received March 18, and also on the App tracker, but on the letter says Receipt date April 10, and I'm starting to freak out because of this. Could anybody add some light on this? Just to have a realistic idea, because its gonna be 7 months this week. Good luck and stay safe everyone!
