We agree that I-129 filers are all entitled to a Yes or No answer to our petition, but with that comes a reasonable amount of time to process that petition, and according to USCIS, 7 months and beyond is OUTSIDE the normal processing time.

I for one am grateful that we live in a country that gives us the opportunity to petition our fiancé to immigrate to the US, but just because we have that opportunity, doesn't mean we should accept extended wait times.  If they're going to provide estimated processing times, then provide realistic ones!

I respect your input on this forum greatly but making excuses for USCIS is hard to take sometimes.

I've walked that mile that you are on. I have faced the kind of delays that you have in my own processing. So, when I pontificate on a subject it comes from years of experience. The one think that we have all not faced is a pandemic of which no one could have predicted and therefore the response is different and should be measured as such.

Thank you for your response.

Aside from March 4th, it's not as erratic as I imagined..  I think we all want to see some movement after 7 months of waiting and this gives us that.. I greatly appreciated you posting this,.Thank you :)

If you go to submit an inquiry for cases outside the normal processing time, you cant, The drop down menu  is conveniently inactive for form number and form sub type, making it impossible to submit the online form.

Is this due to the Pandemic too?

Strange, I was able to submit yesterday.

Edit - your link gave me the same problem, but when I went through this link and selected that page, it worked.  https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request

No, not connected in anyway with the pandemic. Just your luck. Try again as I and others have been successful.

Congratulations.  Looking forward in seeing you over in the October group.

For the next steps we need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Thanks

Yes same here. Got same response to hear in another 30 days. Either filling the online form or calling the representative results in same output of getting an inquiry no for reference. Though I ended doing both, doesn’t make sense to wait so long on call when you could do the same online. Moreover representative does not provide any more information anyways.
