It's soon to be your favourite time of the week - "March Cases update time"

As you can see, The USCIS Case Tracker shows 209 March approved Cases - that's 100 new approvals since last weekend.

138 RFEs outstanding - which is 50 more than last week

193 Rejections, which is 5 less than last week (perhaps they were contested or corrected)

But there's definitely movement!

I started at 1:10am UK time (I re-set my body clock to live on eastern time) and it took just about 2 hours to update... I think I have a system in place to get it done in a little over an hour and 30 minutes next week!

Stay strong. Stay positive. Our time is coming!

Oh man this is hella impressive. Thanks for the update! Nothin has changed for my date yet but it’s okay, as long as it’s moving along!

@LoveJonLovell great work. I have a concern, what are the reasons that can cause the rejections?

It's usually listed as incorrect forms or improper payment - Something they pick up on instantly.

If they have wrong forms or method of payment, why they even send NOA1? They should reject/return when receive the docs, right?

They don't send the NOA1 in those instances... those cases go into the total filed for the month... but not into the remaining to be checked.

Just asking out of curiosity, once k-1 is approved which is receipt of NAO2 I believe. Moving forward, does it have a fixed timeline more or less till the interview or will it be like this long waiting for each steps ?
This might sound like a silly question

No timeline.  Pre-Covid,  it was very consulate-specific.  Now, it is more waiting as NVC holds approved petitions since K-1 interviews are not widely happening at consulates.  There are VJ members who had petitions approved last year who have not yet had interviews.

NOA1 is receipt of I-129f, Petition for Alien Fiancé(e). NOA2 is the approval of the I-129f, Petition for Alien Fiancé(e). We haven't been able to establish a new normal as it is too early as embassies are just beginning to open and process K-1's. Once you receive your case number and your case file is in "ready" condition then you are basically in charge of how fast things will move forward as you have complete documents, pay fees, get schedule, get a medical exam completed and then go to the interview.

I have never seen you run so I don't know how fast your are for this stage.

The bottom line is you are not "entitled" to receiving your approval with your expectations. It's simple math. I don't understand why you don't understand. Oy Vey!

We agree that I-129 filers are all entitled to a Yes or No answer to our petition, but with that comes a reasonable amount of time to process that petition, and according to USCIS, 7 months and beyond is OUTSIDE the normal processing time.

I for one am grateful that we live in a country that gives us the opportunity to petition our fiance to immigrate to the US, but just because we have that opportunity, doesn't mean we should accept extended wait times.  If their going to provide estimated processing times,  then provide realistic ones!

I respect your input on this forum greatly, but making excuses for USCIS is hard to take sometimes.

I have a NOA-1 of March 9, 2020 - I recieved the online notice of my NOA-2 approval on September 29th.  I haven't gotten it in the mail yet, but I was checking online religiously every day for at least a week leading up to that.  Your time is coming everyone, on to the NVC!
