I am currently starting my I129f packet. My fiancé only speaks Spanish and does not understand any English and I am very confused about the translation process

- Should his letter of intent be in Spanish and then translated to English or is it okay for him to sign a letter of intent in English without translation?

- Should items like his birth certificate and our text messages for proof or relationship be translated?

- Does the translator have to be certified ? Do they have to sign the documents they translated in anyway ? And should I put them on the I-129f form part 6 interpreter info ?

ALL documents submitted to the uscis in a language other than English requires a translation

Proof of relationship is not a petition requirement

He can sign an English version of statement of intent

Translation can be done by anyone who meets the requirements and signs an attestation.  Self translation is acceptable as well if you have the fluency

YMMV
