Does look fun! But we're still waiting for our NOA2, so no hope of getting approved in the next week ;) Maybe my fiance will want to attend next year after we get her visa.

Though I'm tempted to attend this by myself, just to have some poutine. I've been converted! Besides, it's maybe a mile away from my apt - hard to pass up something like that ;)

You should! We're thinking about it too, just hate to pass up anything to do with Canada Day. As for poutine...oh yeah! I'm a convert too. We've even tried to duplicate it here at home...no real cheese curds - only mozzarella cheese. It'll do when you're desperate for Poutine. :D

Joe and I won't be - even though it is a Canada Day celebration with a bunch of other Canadians a lot of the day is spent in sports related activity, road hockey, drinking and listening to popular music - all activities Joe does not enjoy and I can take or leave. Instead, we are helping a coworker of his look at cars for her daughter then going out for dinner.

I hope the Canadian Consulate resurrects the Canada Day Party at Zoo Atlanta next year - that was fun and interesting:-).

Have fun at the party, everyone!

For those Atlanta area VJers - we should try to arrange a more personal get-together for 'our group' some times - not just the Canadians:-).

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
