Feb. 24th Public Charge - AOS Guides need Update (merged)

Dear Admin or to whom it may concern,

 

Since there is a new form would be applied starting on February 24, 2020.. Please upload / provide us with a completed form I-944 as our guidance , especially for all the people who moved to the U.S with k1 visa and will file for AOS.

 

Trust me, the existing completed forms you've been uploaded are very helpful (well, at least for myself).

Just posting a notice that the AOS guides need to be updated to reflect the I-944 being required. Specifically:

Presumably the sample documents (at least the cover letters) would need updates as well.

I-944 instructions, which specify supporting documentation that should be provided: https://www.uscis.gov/system/files_force/files/form/i-944instr-pc.pdf

Specifics on who must provide an I-944 are in the I-485 instructions. Both cases int he guides above generally do.

 

Note the I-944 may require additional documentation attached, including but not limited to:

• Credit score + credit report
• Tax returns
• Bankruptcy resolution
• Health Insurance coverage
• Asset + Liability evidence
• Public benefit usage/withdrawal/etc. documentation
• etc.

I-944 is not required until the AOS.  It is not done with the I-129F.

Yes.. I do know about it. Im basically just a type of person who wanted to understand the things I would do and try to be well prepared
