Just wanted to stop by and say Howdy to all my VJ friends. Kinda stayed quiet of late. My Dad was diagnosed with Bowel cancer last week, and is literally being operated on as we speak. He was supposed to have his op yesterday, but low and behold, no anaesthetist (sp) available, so was rescheduled for today. At this stage hes having past of his large bowel, and his spleen removed. My dad is 68, and has suffered from emphysema and diabetes for a good many years now, and this is just something else to add to the pot!

It's times like these I wish I wasnt a 22 plane flight away!!

So, I guess Ive had a few things on my mind. And really this is the first time I have had negative thoughts about the whole immigration thing. Up until now, anything thrown my way, like being away from the kids for so long I have been able to deal with, This, well, I don't know , It's thrown me for a loop....sigh

Anyways, just wanted to vent,...*waves* again

Well, my Dad is out of surgery,...It took 4.5 hours, and he's currently in ICU. the growth was the size of a cricket ball (or baseball size) attached to part of his large bowel area. They managed to avoid taking his spleen, as it wasnt adhesed to it like they thought it was, so thats positive. Now he has a ten day stay in hospital. Don't know about any other treatments like radiation or chemo till the doctor sees him tomorrow...

Thank you again to all my friends for your thoughts and prayers
