Hi, i need help here please. I have a question on this group/ forum. I petitioned my children who are above 21 years old since 2010. Are they supposed to receive any paperwork from embassy? They are no longer stay on the old address as they moved to different city. Would that be any problem? Any information is much appreciated. Thanks

You will get nothing until the PD for their visas become current. There is then a lot of work at the NVC stage during which their updated address can be submitted. Until then you need to make sure USCIS has your current residential , mailing and email addresses as you will be the one contacted first for the next stage

Which Country?

Yes I did contacted today but the customer service was unable to help me. All she said was, it was approved on July 26, 2010. I started the application on March 2010. Then by August 2010 I received the letter stating that it was approved July 2010. Since then I never received any documents from immigration. I know that I have to wait more than 10 years. But my concern is what should be the next steps. The customer service will not provide me the phone number from NVC. She said she don’t have the number.

Are you from Philippines? They should be contacting you fairly soon (next few months), and the beneficiary. Update the address at NVC.

Thanks & do you know the phone number on NVC? I asked the customer service but she said she don’t have any number from them. But that’s strange. My filing date was March 2010 then approval date was July 2010. Since they are over 21 I’m aware that I have to wait more than 10 years. My concern is the address in Philippines that where I first put on the application was no longer exist. And I don’t know how to update on it.

Yes, but my children are no longer on the previous address where I put the application on March 2010. They moved, then I don’t know how to update the address. My concern is, if the Embassy sent the letter from old address & they never got it. I remember my last document I received was August 2010.

The petitioner .. you.. residing in the US .. is also notified that the

process  can be continued at the NVC. USCIS needs your current address. Many many beneficiaries move .. there is no way to update their address until it is at the NVC. Is your address still the same as when you filed the forms ? If yes, then you will get the letter when it’s time

The embassy has nothing to do with the process until after the NVC stage has been completed .. and if I am understanding correctly , these applications are not yet at the NVC stage

Thank you for your prompt response. As far as I know, it’s not yet forwarded to NVC because I never received any documents since August 2010. So I’m praying sooner or later there will be anything or letter come from them. It will be 10 years by March since I applied the i-130

The March visa bulletin gives the current PD date for F2b Phillipines as 1 Oct 2009. Depending on when in 2010 you filed .. you have up to one year still to go ... but you are almost there !!

I know, that’s why I said you need to update the address. The embassy is unlikely to have sent them anything yet. Second post already gave you all the info you need.

if anything of yours needs to be updated Please provide your new address by calling NVC’s Customer Assistance Center at 1-603-334-0700. You can also use our online inquiry form https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html to send us your new address. Don’t forget to let NVC know if your phone number or e-mail address change, too.
