Yes, Estimated Case Completion Times Changed Again

 Share

It seems most people saw a change in their estimated case completion time yesterday/today - for some there was an improvement but it seems for most there was time added (e.g. 1-3 months).

For those asking is this normal....yes, it happens periodically. I think since I applied in April 2019 I have noticed at least 4-5 of these adjustments to the case completion time. Mine has changed various times: March 2020, Feb 2020, April 2020, March 2020, and now June 2020.

USCIS makes these adjustments based on how fast/slow things are moving in particular field offices.

At the end of your interview were you given form N652 to say you had been recommended for approval?

Yes, they handed me an N652 with the recommended for approval box checked. The IO mentioned that the online status would update overnight.

Call the contact center and ask to speak to a level 2 officer to see if they can give you any info as to what is going on. Explain that you received the N652 and were told the system would update overnight and that 2 weeks later nothing has changed. They should also be able to see from their end that you attended the interview.

Yea good point. I plan to ask for level2 officer next time I call their customer support line. Their level-1 were at least able to confirm that the system showed that I attended the interview.
