This morning I got a text that our I-130 cases were approved. Our receipt date was August 8th. We had receipt numbers that started with IOE, but the receipt notices came from Nebraska - so I had assumed it was subject to the long wait time. But surprise! The cases were suddenly approved this morning.

I *just* got back from visiting them in Philippines 1.5 weeks ago... now I'll be going back to get them soon :)

Congratulations 🥰

What does it mean when the receipt number started with IOE ?

That means the processing queue isn't tied to a specific center - it's in their online filing system. IOE stands for "Integrated Operating Environment." But my receipt notices came from Nebraska, so I assumed that I was tied to the Nebraska timelines. That's apparently not true, as we were approved much sooner than Nebraska's "run time." Makes me think they finally have their tools set up in a way that makes much more sense and it's not tied to particular centers.

That's awesome thank you. Our receipt notices starts also with IOE and service center Nebraska. That's great to hear that you guys got approved so fast.

Good news - have some hope then, they apparently chewed through cases much quicker than expected. I was surprised for sure.

No, I did not expedite anything officially - although I did file a K-3 visa case to try to urge things along. There has been no action on the K-3 case. I received an NOA-1 on it, but it hasn't been dispositioned since. I just suddenly received the I-130 approvals this morning.

Congrats! this is such a relief since I submitted online and got receipt number starting with IOE and just got NOA that my case was sent to Nebraska. I have been kinda disappointed looking at the processing times at that NSV and the backlog, feels like I will never be united with my husband. reading your post is a breath of fresh air. Wishing the best with the next process

Thanks! I do think this is somewhat indicative of their successful transition to a non-center-only based approach for processing applications. I was hoping that we weren't beholden to the NSC timelines because they're so abysmal. This was a huge relief and surprise! Good luck, hope it turns out well for you.

By any chance, did you notice if on February 23rd or February 24th your date changed on your USCIS account?

Sorry, no I didn't notice anything. I was just sitting around and suddenly got SMS texts on both of my I-130 cases that said they had been updated. I went in to the site and it said they had been approved.

Actually thinking of filing a K-3, but skeptical if it's gonna make any difference
