If that is the case, then short-term, buy stocks in the companies that make masks.  Masks don't do a darned thing about the virus, but people feel good wearing them.

I noticed they said everyone prepare, but aren't really saying how one should prepare. Masks and supplies are getting hard to find btw.

 

I've heard some say get a big stock of medication, which is hilarious because most insurance isn't going to pay for that. Medications like I take is in very short supply already and I have a heck of a fight with the pharmacist every time I need a refill.

There is no preparation, only avoidance.  I am currently in a foreign country with zero cases.  But I'm not finna tell y'all where, so you don't bring it over here and ruin it for me!

With my husband and sister being out in the mass public every day, usually whatever they catch, they bring straight to me. I'll be the first to fall I'm sure..

Tell me about it.  I placed an order last week that included masks and got a message that they would only be sending me a very limited supply of masks because of the shortage.  Tried to order from another company and they have increased their prices X10 per box.

I'd be interested in knowing where to get the N95s, because everywhere I've looked are out. One supplier said they could not get any more in for 6-8 weeks. I already have a supply of regular masks, but they won't do much.

The CDC seems to be putting out conflicting messages. 

 

WHO guidance is that local health officials have capacity onhand for ventilators for the x % of patients that need it.  

 

On a personal basis, stay home if sick, wash your hands, letters from China are not infected, garlic won't help.
