   Many people probably need to review it, but the DOH page actually gives permission to link to and/or otherwise disseminate  the data.  Fair use generally applies to copyrighted material that is not allowed to be reproduced or republished.

Feel free to use the report button if you feel copies of (accurate) details from a government agency violate the precious tos. I read it and decided it did not.

As SB pointed out, you may get a bye due to permission from the DOH.  However, we are normally required to only post a little snippet of the text from the site, as well as the website.  It also helps to keep each page from being too long.  Courtesy, and all that...

There was a fair amount of ambiguity and misinformation bouncing around on this thread. The president didn't even seem to have the facts (surprise). Posting the unfiltered story from the source was a good move.

New York Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo (D) confirmed the state’s first case of coronavirus Sunday night, announcing that a woman in her late 30s contracted the virus after traveling to Iran. President Trump on Saturday extended a travel ban on Iran to apply to any foreign nationals who had been in that country over the past 14 days.

Around the same time Sunday, Washington state reported its second death in King County, which is also the second death in the United States.

The novel coronavirus has probably been spreading undetected for about six weeks in Washington state, where the first U.S. death was reported this weekend. A genetic analysis suggests that the cases are linked through community transmission and that this has been going on for weeks, with hundreds of infections likely in the state.

San Antonio's coronavirus patient left quarantine. Walked around a mall, went to the hotel chain my wife works at, and then started exhibiting symptoms again.

 

You think we have the money to pay 4k for a testing kit? The USA is ######.

It's not politicizing a virus its questioning why you would attempt to cut something as valuable as the CDC and then we see later on it would have been stupid if it was allowed.

During the Democratic presidential debate in South Carolina Tuesday, former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg accused the president of defunding the CDC, claiming the result is that “we don’t have the organization that we need.”

 

 

On Wednesday, Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., tweeted, “The Trump Administration has slashed CDC funding and left positions charged with managing pandemics vacant. The budget request for Coronavirus funding shows they still don’t understand the magnitude of the threat.”

 

Asked about the criticism at a House budget hearing Wednesday, Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar said that, “during the president’s tenure, every part of our preparedness and infectious disease program activity has been enhanced and expanded.”

Azar went on the say the president’s budget proposals are just the jumping-off point for budget negotiations.
