Fee not charged Two weeks after mailing 129F form

My fiancé mailed our k1 visa 129-F application on Feb 11th through USPS and the status indicates delivered on Feb 15th. We called USCIS last week and they confirmed that they received it. However, nothing was charged yet as for now. And we didn’t receive any email. It has been more than two weeks already. What could have happened? Should we call again?

Nothing in immigration is fast....maybe they are backlogged......However, the other possibility is that the package was rejected.  That is usually due to incorrect or missing payment.....If that is the case, they will return the entire package to you.  .You should get news soon......

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

If you hadn't seen anything by at most the 3-4 week mark then I would be concerned and call them.

Contact lockbox support at LockboxSupport@uscis.dhs.gov if you haven't heard from them within 30 days of filing.

 

If you've got a paper NOA1 and/or text messages and/or emails but they haven't cashed your check or charged your credit card yet, I'm sure they'll get around to it.

Same thing with my application we got receipt after 3weeks of submission notify us about the application process hold on you will hear from them soon

This happened to me the first time I filed when it was rejected due to payment issues (Didn't realize my credit card expiration date would be just before they received it). I didn't receive any notification until I received the packet back in the mail.

 

I even realized the mistake and called but they said I'd just have to wait to receive the packet back. When asking specific follow-up questions, the woman I spoke with said they are basically just a call center and don't have much access to specific cases other than what's in the system, which is the same thing we all have access to if you know where to go on their website. 

 

However, when I resent the packet, I had a receipt notification within 2 days of it getting to the lockbox.

 

Hopefully in your case there's just a delay with notification, but I thought I'd share my experience!

Thank you so much for the reply. He did get the package back. It was because of the credit card issue.. Do we need to change anything before mailing it again? We solved the issue with the bank and the card should be fine now. Can we mail it straight away? No need to update the date or anything?

Thank you!! Ours was sent back because of credit card issue.

This is what I asked on the phone and they said they weren't sure and couldn't give an answer. 

 

I updated and reprinted everything as if it was a new application just to be safe.
