Since I never received one is it ok to use the print out of the NOA2 from the USCIS web site and I also have the email of the approval from them. I already checked and they want $340 just to print a copy and mail it to me. That is what I call pure profit.

Thanks,

Charlie

Hi, Charlie! I'm in the same boat. I've called UCSIC a few times and on my 3rd call (6/4) they acknowledged that there was a problem with most of the May 3rd approvals and they would send me a free I-797 (NOA2). I'm still waiting, I have not recieved it in the mail. I have also asked me congressmans office to look into the matter. I even e-mailed NVC to see if they could tell me the Alien Registration number off of the NOA2 (they said the case have been forwared to the Embassy and they couldn't give me the info).

I plan on submitting our AOS with my USCIS approval e-mail, the screen from my USCIS website, as well as copies of the e-mails I sent NVC and my congressman's office as well as the name and site ID of the people I spoke to. I know its a bit much, but I'm really aggravated. It doesn't take that long to mail something, and lets say I were to pay $340- I don't have any confidence that I would recieved my NOA2.

I've read where some couples were able to sucessfully complete AOS without their NOA2. I was planning to include all the e-mails and stuff to show evidence that I did everything possible to try to find out what happened to the NOA2.

I don't know if it is funny or just really sad but lets say all of us don't get a NOA2 and we go to an AOS interview without it. How hard is it really for them to pick of the phone and call their own agency or better yet they probably have access to the computer system to check on the status.

What a joke this truly is. How in embarrassing is it that a government agency can't verify their own work/processing. Have we really sent people to the moon? I'm starting to doubt that now. They have probably fooled the american public for all of these decades.

Look at this way, you show up for your interview and the agent ask for the hard copy of the NOA2 and we say sorry but it wasn't received. Agent, I'm sorry but we can't proceed without it. Applicant, your agency apparently issued it (no proof they did) and your own web site says that I'm approved. Why can't we proceed? hmmmmm, I don't know the agent says that is just the policy. Applicant, Let me talk to a supervisor, agent, I'm the supervisor!!!:wacko::blink::wacko:

Some times all we can do is laugh and hope for the best!!!!

this seems like such a dumb requirement to have to send a copy of NOA2 with AOS. wonder why it's asked for with AOS. just a way for USCIS to collect extra fees from those who lost or never received one? I spent a couple of hours looking for ours when I misplaced it. hopefully you can use your email copy without paying the outrageous duplication fee.
