So we had our interview two days before. Everything went well but then our joint sponsor was not related to us by blood. He was a family friend of my aunt. So the consular was not satisfied that why is he sponsoring you. So we were put in AP without any reason. Consular told us that there is nothing we have to do now and all we have to do is wait. He kept our passport. The next day our case was updates again but still in AP. What should I do. I am almost broken. I dont know what to do. We had plans and everything. Everything got shattered. Also I need to travel for work and they have our passports. Please help and let me know if there is someone with similar experience.

It’s a positive they kept your passport.

Did they give you a piece of paper saying you need a new sponsor?

A few things don’t add up.
Additionally, EVERYONE goes through AP- some longer than others- and with your country expect to be in AP for awhile.

Heyyy. No he did not ask me to add up anything. All he said is wait. And gave me this paper of 221g. No documents werre marked or asked from the checklist. He said your case is in AP and you have to do nothing at the moment.

Pakistan is known for extended periods of administrative processing. It could take several to many months.   All you can do is wait..  The fact that he kept your passport is good.  You can ask for your passport back....but it likely delay your case longer.....good luck.
