Hi,

So our cr1 visa is issued and we got passport back. Now i was going to pay immigration fee of $220 that requires alien no. and case no.

However the case no. that we used to check status on caec is LITTLE DIFFERENT than the case no written on visa sticker in the sense that case no on visa stamp is 2 digits longer. The case no. on visa stamp has 01 extra at the end.

Just for example here.

Case no. that we used to check status if it is

ISL0123456789

VS

ISL012345678901 on visa sticker on passport.

Now my question is

1)which case no. I would be using for immigration fee?

2) is it a mistake from them or 01 at the end represents something else like no. of applicants or something else?

3) Should i be contacting US embassy for that if it is a mistake or all you who have gotten cr1 visas have the no.s different the same way on visa sticker?

Thanks a lot

~~moved to general immigration discussion from IR1/CR1 process and procedures.  topic is not visa specific~~

use the first one without the 01 I believe.

It's not a mistake it's fine.
