Hi everyone.

I recently got my immigrant visa. In the DS-260 I selected for my SSN to be created and will soon be paying my USCIS Immigrant Visa Fee. Based on this, I wanted to know that once I arrive in the USA, will I get both these things automatically delivered to my address there? Or do I have to do something more once I am there to get the process moving?

Thank you in advance.

They should.  Occasionally the SSN doesn't arrive as expected and you have to go to the SSA office to get it.  Give it about 3 weeks.

The hard copy green card should also arrive within a couple months of your arrival.  If it does not arrive within 6 you should follow the threads in the general immigration discussion on how to make sure you get this card before your temporary green card expires.
