Hi everyone,

If you have any facial piercings (not including earrings), take them out before you go to your biometrics appointment - you'll save yourself a lot of time and effort!

I went to my biometrics appointment today and was told I needed to remove the small septum ring I have in (or twist it so it was inside my nose and not visible).

Unfortunately, my ring was too small to twist (couldn't get my septum in the gap) and try as I might, I couldn't remove it (it's not been removed for years, so was screwed ridiculously tight)...and as such, I now have to go back on Monday to do my photo and fingerprints.

Just removed my piercing with pliers - will put it back in after biometrics on Monday!

Huh, everyone at my Biometrics was told to remove all earrings too. I had some fun trying to get the ball off one of my piercings but got there in the end. Would have been useful to know beforehand as it was an interesting couple of minutes trying to unscrew the tiny thing!

Glad you managed to get yours out though!

I went back today, sans septum ring, and my biometrics appointment was completed 🙃.
