Hello,

Our i130 petition was approved and it was sent to the department of state on 01/06/2020 but we have not received the welcome letter (our priority date is 01/28/2019). The NVC case frame says Current case creation time frame: As of 19-FEB-2020, we are working on cases that were received from USCIS on 28-JAN-2020, which you would think our case was received already. I have tried calling them several times but it keeps telling me to call at a later time and they hang-up and if I send an e-mail they are taking almost 2 months to answer. Any suggestion on how I can contact the NVC to see if they have sent the letter? or do I need to just wait? thank you so much!

It takes several weeks for NVC to receive and enter a case into their system (sometimes as long as 6 weeks).  That statement implies that they are working SOME cases they received Jan 28th.  I'm sure you are close.......just be patient......

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Are you a petitioner or beneficiary?

Just curious about whether beneficiary or the petitioner of I-130 gets contacted by NVC

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/national-visa-center/nvc-contact-information.html here is the link. You can send an e-mail or call, if you send an e-mail it will take up to 2 months to get an answer but if you call about 50 times in a row you will get an answer, I had to wait more than 2 hours to get a rep on the phone so be patient.
