K-1 visa conquerors! I’m so thankful to be through with that process. My (now) husband has yet to receive his SSN. We filed for the adjustment of status and work permit in September and we haven’t heard anything. Should we be worried?

Did he apply for the SSN before you were married? How many days were left in his authorized stay when he applied?

What does your case status say? Did you checked that at the USCIS page?

We did the fingerprints in October, and we did have one RFE. We got all that taken care of, and that was in November. I understand it’s probably very early but we still haven’t heard anything

No he didn’t.

Now you will have to wait until he receives the work permit and/or Green Card before he can apply for the Social Security Card. When he receives either just go to your local SSA office and apply. Easy...

Finally done...
