AoS filing - 3 weeks and no correspondence

Hi, so my Adjustment of Status package (I-485, I-765, I-131) was delivered to the Chicago Lockbox via USPS 3 weeks ago, on 01/30/2020. I know this, as I tracked the package.

Since then, I haven't received any electronic or physical correspondence, and the check has not been cashed.

Has anybody else experienced a similar wait for the first NOA/ any form of receipt recently? It seems like most people receive a text/ email, and/ or the check is cashed, within 1 - 2 weeks 🤔 . I included G-1145 forms for each application.

Thanks.

Mine was delivered on 02/03/2020, no news since then.

I sent an e-mail to lockbox yesterday in order to find out what's going on with my package, didn't get any response yet.

It can take up to 4 weeks to hear anything.

You can place an enquiry with the Lockbox after that.

Ah, okay - perhaps some cases take longer than others? I also emailed the lockbox today. Let me know if you hear anything!

Call the 1-800 number and speak to a rep. They will tell you if your case is in the system. If they dont have it than your package hasnt been processed.  More like its sitting somewhere for a lockbox person to get to it

Mine took 21 days for the charge to show on my credit card, then the next day day 22 I got the emails and text messages with the case numbers.

Hey, the same thing happened to us when we sent in our AOS package in March 2019 and I remember freaking out about it. In the end, after a month of waiting without news, our package was returned to us with a note saying the payment was incorrect (we had stupidly written the wrong number on the check), so we had to fix that and send it back. Then everything was fine and we got our receipt 2 weeks later. This is not to say that there's anything wrong with your package, just to illustrate the fact that sometimes it takes a long time for them to get back to you, and each office is different, so I wouldn't worry too much at this point. Hang in there!

Interesting.... my only concern in this scenario is that if it was sent back, I’d have to re-file with the new I-944 form + evidence, with the public charge rule coming into effect on Feb 24th. I think we did everything correctly... 🤔

I see from your posts that you finally heard from them - congrats! 😀 .  Still nothing for me though.... did they cash your check or just send the texts?

Thank you! Yes, they cashed the check almost at the same time.

I wish you to get your notifications soon! I know how hard is to wait.

Congrats on getting your response from them.  You filed just before us.  It's nerve-wracking waiting for the lockbox to get open.  Such a feeling that maybe something got lost.  It helps so much knowing that we are not going to hear from them this week or even next.  Just need to sit back and live life while we wait . . .  (well, life without a job or international travel, but ...)

Thank you! Yes, I totally agree on all of that - I expected to be relieved after sending the package, but this wore off after over 2 weeks of not hearing, while seeing that others were hearing much quicker. Probably wasn't helpful to read about all of those quick responses on here, but I guess that's balanced out by how helpful people seem to be on this forum. It's such a relief to just know that we are in the system, and everything is progressing as it should (yes, albeit with no job, or ability to leave the country, but I guess that's what we signed up for haha).
