Hey guys I dont know if Im in the right topic but I will ask you this

Friend of mine is getting a divorce and now He has a expired conditional green card 

and to make things worse the wife wont give him any help to remove the conditional status

and all documents and proofs are with her, and wont give him any documents.

My question is where could him start to renew it?

Does he have an expired 2 yr card, since you mention ROC?

 

How expired is this card?

 

He will need to write a letter stating why he didn't apply before the card expired. He needs a good reason for applying late for ROC. He doesn't need his soon to be ex wife to help. He just needs to get all the evidence he can asap. Apply with divorce waiver. It's just a matter of checking a box. Get the divorced started asap in order to get it done by the time he interviews. Not the end of the world if it's not complete just a bit easier to avoid more work.
