Hello All. Am new here and have been enlightened by the various discussions here.

I have a situation that i hope i can get help with here.

I interviewed for IR5 visa at Lagos in Oct 2019,  CO asked to bring joint sponsor's 2018 tax transcript cos we had submitted his 2018 tax extension doc. The white form given  indicates "Tax transcript to be scanned" . I sibmitted the 2018 tax return on Oct 23.

Since then i have been in Administrative processing.  Status enquiry twice now says

According to our records, the documents you sent are well received and reviewed by the consular officer.

Please be inform that the consular officer will need the beneficiary to submit the petitioner’s tax transcript for 2018 before the case can be concluded.

The case is place on hold pending the receipt of the said document while failure to sending the document may lead to an ineligibility."

Now i am really confused. Why are they asking for the "petitioner's tax transcript for 2018" when this is already submitted and accepted in CEAC. Plus CO only requested for joint sponsor 2018 at the interview cos it was not in CEAC.

Is there  perhaps a mix up in documentation?

Cos CO also said submit with your passport20200220_142424.thumb.jpg.4604b416be3eeccb1e47d7ca9a047f6a.jpg but did not tick the box so DHL could not collect passport.

Even if i want to re -submit, how do i go about it since i have used the 221(g) form given to me already.

Any ideas or suggestions to help make progress on this situation will be appreciated.

Thank you.

It is normal for the Consulate to want tax documents brought to the interview.

I think it is better to just give them what they want.  The instructions tell you where to drop off the tax transcripts.

They want tax transcripts.  Did you previously submit tax returns or tax transcripts?

Thank you for your response.  I have used the white slip to submit the tax return as instructed.  I dont know how to submit another document without a submission slip.

Tax returns cos the joint sponsor submitted same for 2016, 2017.

The consulate want TRANSCRIPTS....not returns.....there is a huge difference.  Use a copy of the same 221g.
