Oh, them too. :P Speaking of Austen,  I almost went to see Emma today but decided against it. Maybe next week.

Emma has been advertised on the TV a lot, but not currently been shown up here, would need to go to Denver.

Well once I have dug myself out, nearly there.

Sadly a long waiting list.

Now that is NOT VJ Family friendly.

Boiler! An update from the DM:

The Queen is believed to have told her grandson that she was keen to keep the door open for him and Meghan to return and stressed that he would be welcomed back from Canada at any time.

I knew the Queen would always welcome them back. I have a sneaking suspicion they will be back in the next five years. Just a thought. Then again I have a sneaking suspicion I may end up over there in the next five years, so that's also a thing. :( Hoping to hold out at least long enough for him to get citizenship.

Well the Queen and Prince Phillip are getting on, and 5 years may not sound that long but at their age...

5 year to get Citizenship, that would logically require you to get a move on, no more dilly dallying, even more so if it is in the next 5 years. Did you have ILR? Presumably that has gone.

No, I came in on a regular whatever the equivalent of VWP is. Voldy and I weren't married yet or engaged, we were doing a trial run to see if I could hack it over there. Nope! Very different being a student with tons of stuff to do and a built in social group. It was less tough in London.

I do NOT want to move there but I'm realistic. It could happen.

Here's to Her Majesty's health, may she live many more years!

Bottomless brunch: unlimited prosecco sounds like a good idea – until you’re on your fifth glass

All-you-can-drink sounds like a fine concept, but what with the time limits, the yelling patrons and the difficult etiquette, it doesn’t survive contact with the real world

At a bottomless brunch, the girl’s friend had been ejected after 45 minutes. She wasn’t even that drunk – the bouncer had just decided she was. “What was she doing that made them think that?” is the question the guy should have asked, but clearly he wasn’t a trained journalist. While the bouncer was outside arguing with the friend, a third bruncher, a man, stood up – he, again, wasn’t that drunk, apparently – and just happened to fall clean over, like a tree that had been chainsawed. Then they all got kicked out, and wasn’t that quite unfair, given that they had each paid £30 to drink as much prosecco as they humanly could?

Not sure if you saw this, somewhat disturbing.

I couldn't possibly comment. 😉

Nah, those all you can drink brunches are ripoffs and you never get the good stuff anyway. But it's generally a bad idea to drink that much prosecco that fast, or so I am told.

I thought you might know somebody who could add some personal experience. Sort of reminded me of my younger days of all you could drink Clubs in Benidorm as long as it was the local stuff, which they would use to clean the bar with at the end of the night. Anyway work day done, time to do some shopping and maybe an adult beverage?

Yes, I do have at least one story about one of our crew getting ejected from the White Harte, but it wasn't at a bottomless brunch. Just a Sunday session that got a little carried away.

Go treat yourself to some shopping and an adult beverage! Not time here yet. I generally avoid day drinking except on Sundays. (Brunch.)

The sun is over the yardarm, I am 2 hours ahead of you and the place seems full of skiers. Another month and they will be gone.

For some reason I thought CO was Mountain time only.

She looks gorgeous in these pictures, and they look very, very much in love. I know that look he's giving her. It's the "I'm here and I can't imagine being anywhere else but with you" look of a man who loves his partner. The way he's looking out for her comfort, where they're stepping on the cobblestones in the rain, taking care that she's safe. She's clearly pretty nuts about him too, the way she smiles at him is incredibly genuine. Very soppy and lovely.
