I can see an invite on the horizon.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

WORLD EXCLUSIVE: Meghan and Harry are living in this $18m Beverly Hills mansion of mega-rich Hollywood actor/producer Tyler Perry and arranged by mutual friend Oprah

  • Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been staying in a ultra-luxury Beverly Hills hideout that belongs to Hollywood tycoon Tyler Perry, DailyMail.com can reveal
  • Perry, who is worth $600 million, is best known for the portrayal of the feisty character Madea in the series of hit films
  • Perry's eight-bedroom, 12-bathroom Tuscan-style villa sits on the top of a hill in the exclusive Beverly Ridge Estates guard-gated community
  • The Duke and Duchess of Sussex and their one-year-old son Archie have called the $18 million mansion home since moving to LA at the end of March
  • The couple have never been seen in public with Perry, 50, but are believed to have met him through their mutual close friend Oprah Winfrey
  • Perry expressed an emotional connection with the Duchess when she admitted during an interview in Africa that no one ever asks her how she is
  • Beverly Ridge has its own guarded gate and Perry's 22-acre property has its own security team
  • Perry's home is where Meghan and Harry celebrated Archie's first birthday on Wednesday, reportedly having a 'smash cake' and Zoom chats with friends and family

Oh, I see where that is, off Coldwater Canyon. We drove back down Coldwater the other week after we'd gone to the Valley to get Alex's copy of Technical Analysis of Stocks and Commodities at the newsstand in Studio City. One of the things I/we have discovered during this pandemic is (1) a lot of great open air newsstands are still open and (2) there is so much selection there, better than at either of the Barnes & Nobles we'd tried before shutdown. Going to keep going to newsstands after the bookstores are fully reopened (they reopen today for curbside pickup only). Alex is a magazine fiend so browsing the racks now is a bit of normalcy he is enjoying.

Oh wait, this is about Harry and Meghan, not Al and me.

Yeah this looks like it is near Coldwater and Mulholland. That is a very pretty area but the streets are awfully small and have only gotten worse due to Waze/Google routing traffic through these areas when the 405 is backed up. The USGS has a really nice seismic site down at Stone Canyon Reservoir, which is only about 1 1/2 miles down Mulholland. Which is awesome because the backway from that reservoir opens up in to the Bel Air neighborhood and the golf course.

You should see the canyon roads now. Laurel, Benedict and Coldwater Canyons and Beverly Glen are all so empty. No one driving up your rear to make you go 65 and no one going 30 and holding everything up. But yeah, the side streets are a total nightmare up there, there and the Hills. I've been to parties up there and been glad it wasn't me driving.

Try driving a Ford F250 up that way.... The only time I have ever gotten so mad I wanted to hit a car with my car was driving up there. There are to many rich kids in their nice cars not obeying traffic at all while racing on the wrong side of the street.

I would love to be driving up that way right now. Quite frankly that is one thing that I loved the most about my job with the USGS was the driving and seeing all the weirdness of CA

Important Harry and Meghan news -- it has been too long.

Quote

Prince Harry chose to quit the Royal Family not Meghan Markle, the couple's new bombshell biography Finding Freedom will reveal.

Harry, 35, is said to be angry at the term 'Megxit' because it made it sound like the decision to break away from the Firm was Meghan's alone, a source told The Sun.

...

A publishing source said: 'The reality is Harry drove [the decision to leave]. The book will make that clear and explain why it had to happen.

Crossover post with George Floyd:

Addressing graduating students at the all-girls Immaculate Heart high school in Los Angeles, Meghan said: “I wasn’t sure what I could say to you. I wanted to say the right thing and I was really nervous that it would get picked apart.

“And I realised the only wrong thing to say is nothing. Because George Floyd’s life mattered and Breonna Taylor’s life mattered and Philando Castile’s life mattered and Tamir Rice’s life mattered … and so did so many other people whose names we know and whose names we do not know.”

I know I owe Boiler a good Harry and Meghan Daily Mail update but I'm doing this on my phone from bed and that requires coffee. Which my manservant, I mean, fiancé has neglected to bring me. :P

That's why I'm baking a loaf of white bread today. Bacon sandwiches are imminent!

He brought me a cup of coffee just now and an Rx Bar (chocolate sea salt) to help get me conscious and in the kitchen he says. Where a good woman BELONGS.

Really these Rx Bars are lovely.
