I-130, Has anyone else filed a petition for the beneficiary?

Greetings,

 

I have a question on I-130 form.  I filed I-129f for my fiance last year, we got rejected.  Later we got married, and now i am filing I-130 for my him.  How should i answer this question? If I answer yet, the words anyone else concerns me, since no one else except me filed a petition for him; should i answer no?  I got stuck on this question.  

 

Anyone has any clue?

  • Feb 14 2019: NOA1 (NSC)
  • July 31 2019: I129f NOA1
  • Sep 19 2019: I129f NOA2 (Denied - 50 days from NOA1)
  • Sep 19 2019: I130 NOA2 (Approved - 217 days from NOA1)

 

NVC Stage:

  • Sep 27 2019: Sent to Department of State
  • Oct 31 2019: Case number received (34 days since sent)
  • Nov 1 2019: IV & AOS fees received & paid
  • Nov 14 2019: IV & AOS submitted
  • Dec 18 2019: All docs accepted, but one additional doc requested (5 weeks from submission)
  • Dec 18 2019: Requested doc submitted
  • Feb 19 2020: Documentarily Qualified (9 weeks from 2nd submission, 14 weeks from first submission)

 

Interview Stage:

  • Mar 11 2020: Interview letter received
  • Apr 1 2020: Interview date
  • Mar 17 2020: Interview cancelled due to COVID-19
  • August 3 2020: Rescheduled letter received, new appointment August 25 2020
  • August 25 2020: Visa approved at interview! (558 days from NOA1)
  • September 10 2020: Embassy received passport in mail
  • September 15 2020: Passport with visa in hand

 

October 11 2020: Arrived in US!

Hi Lily,

 

You had the same experience as me.  I have one more question, our I-129f case is reject also expired, but i have not received a formal letter from USCIS indicate our case is closed.  I am filing I-130 now, should i include a letter to void our fiance case?

Our I129f was for a K3 (non immigrant spousal visa), not for a K1, which we sent after sending our I130 with hopes to speed up our I130 (since USCIS usually denies K3 I129f cases in favor of CR1 I130 cases), so unfortunately I don't really know much about the K1. If it's expired you shouldn't have to do anything but you can always include a letter stating you'd like to withdraw the K1 I129f anyways, doesn't hurt

If the answer is Yes, it asks for name, place, date of filing and the result.  

I believe name is the beneficiary's name, and i know the date and result, but i am not quite understanding the city and state.  Do you know if it is asking for where I filed the petition? Meaning the city of my (petitioner) address in US?

The place will be the service center which initially processed your petition
