That is incredible! Congrats. Makes me excited that they are trying to balance out the service centers.

I sure hope so for everyone’s sake. There is no benefit for anyone—and that includes both potential immigrants and, ultimately, the taxpayers of the United States who must cover shortfalls in funding for these bureaucracies when they occur—that these processes be dragged out as long as they are.

Wow, I am tentatively pleased to announce that today (Feb 19) I got an email from USCIS that implies my I-130 was approved; my case status was changed to "Post Decision Activity" and informed me that they have sent my case "to the Department of State for visa processing". It further directs me to consult the website where I "can find general information on Consular Processing" and that the "website will provide information on what do next, who to contact and how to inform us of any changes in your situation or address."

I believe that, regardless that I do not have the formal NOA2 letter in hand, that this is effectively what this means, based on the language in the email and on my USCIS account.

My file was only transferred from Nebraska to the Vermont service center on February 4. So if I am correct in interpreting this, it took only 15 days for a decision on the I-130 after transferring!

Awesome news !!!  When did you submit your i-130 ?  Ours is processing through Nebraska as well.  I have heard that there have been transfers made but haven’t heard how many ext.

I wonder if the only cases that are being transferred are the LIN cases. 🤔

What determines whether something is IOE or LIN? I am not familiar with that aspect of this process

My I-130 (in 2015) was also fast, but not from VT.  I think since you are already married (well, I was) the process is a lot simpler/faster.

Submitted 6/2/2015 approved 8/13/2015.

Since July, all I-130 applications are IOE. This only means it‘s an electronic processing through either having your documents uploaded as PDF through USCIS or since December (or maybe November 2019) submission via online form.

I wonder if they approved the I-129F (K3) in Nebraska and now transferred LIN cases to other service centers to get rid of all paper based petitions in order to start a new operation modell (all centers can access all IOE-Petitions, no specific service center assigned anymore) in order to be more efficient. At least I‘m hoping that is the case. I think this would make a huge difference to processing times and is the way to evenly distribute cases.

But on the other hand , I‘ve read on the USCIS website, that only IR1/CR1 cases have been transferred in which case my theory wouldn‘t work I think.
