Hello all!

I would like to know what to expect in the interview part; my wife and I (US citizen) have an interview next month and we were wondering about the questions that they may ask to us. In the letter they said that if the person is not fluently in English an interpreter has to come. Can I (husband) be the interpreter? Or has to be other person for sure?. What would be your recommendations for the interview and what to expect? We are in Texas so the interview is going to be in San Antonio. I would appreciate any of your advices.

Thank you

Questions are based on your application and your facts and circumstances.   Nobody can predict.

No, the interpreter needs to be unbiased

YMMV

Anyone who is fluent in both languages can be an interpreter for the interview . ( Just not the spouse , in case  immigration wants to interview you separately ) . I translated for a family member without any problem.

At the interview the IO  asked   first bio questions ( name , DOB )  how did you meet , why after marriage you decided to live in US and not in my spouse ' s country then she went over every line in the I 485 form  . Didn ' t ask for anything else
