Last arrival in the US is considered the POE. Once you pass the clearance in Montreal you are "considered" in the U.S. That's what they told me when I passed there. I would go with the stamp in the passport because anyways you are going to include the copy of the I-94 in your AOS application.

Not to go against what Yodrak says because he has a lot of knowledge about this process, but coming from a plane from Montreal when I was landing in Chicago I was getting out of the plane like if it was a flight from US to US, means there is no clearance, not customs, no one checking the passports, etc. Same when I was flying back to Montreal, I was just going through security and then I was in the plane. The clearance to come back in Canada was In Montreal as well.

So the POE in this case is Montreal, for all the flights coming from Montreal to anywhere in the US.

That's what I thought.

The customs in Montreal is where you are stamped for the K-1 and where you give the envelops and stuff. Unless of course if you fly from somewhere else than Montreal.

[13-04-2007] K-1 Visa issued after 13 months of waiting.

[19-05-2007] Wedding

[24-07-2007] Paperwork for AoS sent

[11-15-2007] Green Card received

1 year+ for a K-1 Visa. Who would've thought...
