You are reading conflicting information and you are starting with something you claim you know but is a conflicting statement as well.

If you read the i130 instructions, it cannot be conflicting.

From i130 instruction:

(3) You must submit two identical color passport-style photographs of yourself and your spouse (if he or she is in the United States) taken within 30 days of filing this petition.

I just went back and re-read it, it does say if he is in the US.  I will upload his anyway as well since I have them.  I was just wanting to be sure that they wanted 2 photos of me, I was confused because they will have a copy of my passport so why the 2 photos?

Yes that’s a fair question to be asked to whoever decided on the requirement. But, to be fair, your passport could be from 8 years ago and they wanted your recent photos for their record.

I never stated anything saying "I know" isn't this forum for questions to be asked? I clearly was confused because I read 2 different things and am also in some FB Visa groups.  I was just like anyone else double and triple checking before I submitted everything.  never hurts to ask.  I got my answer already. Thanks  PS some people sent both sets and others did not.  Some one I know did not send the photos of himself (petitioner) and it was not a problem as his wife is now here in the states and they only asked for this at a different stage of the process.

That directly conflicts with what you started the post with.

Yes this forum is to ask question but this forum is to clarify any misstatements or confusions as well so that others looking for info would get better information.

I was simply saying that you may or may not need to upload photos of the beneficiary per instructions when your statement sounded like it is needed.

To be fair, your very first post of the thread states "I know"

I find the FB and Reddit visa groups to have a lot of misinformation and much of it contradictory.  Any petitioner who didn't submit the passport photos would have received an RFE up to about a year ago.  Then they started denying based on lack of important basic information required.
