Interview Today - Approved

Had my interview today and got approval.   Detroit office - very professional and friendly experience.

I had a tentative completion date of April but after the interview it now shows as May.   I hope they are just playing it safe.  The IO said about a month until the oath ceremony.

I tried to find out when the next oath ceremony would be or when the last one was but couldn’t dig up a thing.

in any event it was a GREAT day!!

I don’t know whether it will work for you, but the most comprehensive list of oath ceremonies I found for my area was via the league of women voters. It wasn’t truly comprehensive But it was a lot better than nothing.

Thank you

Congrats!

Did you file under 3 or 5 year rule through marriage or divorce? What type of documents were asked during the interview? Can you share some questions if you remember.

Thanks.

They need to pile up number of potential citizens like you and it takes time for them to work. There will be oath department within in your field office that will work with the court or judge availability and also other staff / venue etc.. It's a process at least in New York city. So I am sure it will be something on the same lines. So just hold your breath and wait for the oath letter to come to you. Don't worry about the status updates. My updates took around 2 weeks later and for some immediately and for some never. So just ignore and enjoy your GC days until you become Citizen.

Congrats once again. Good luck.

Thanks.

I filed under the 5 year rule through marriage.  I took a folder of documents and they wanted to see none of them.   He started with the civics test, then the reading and writing followed by a review of my application.  He asked a few of the questions on the application but I got the feeling it was more to determin3 if I knew what I submitted in the application.
