I-134 question

Hello all! I hope your visa journeys are progressing smoothly and without too much headache.

I am completing for I-134 in anticipation of our upcoming K1 interview. My question is regarding number 38, intentions to make specific contributions to the support of the person(s) named in Part 2. Does this question refer to my fiance and her child? It makes it sound like I'll provide them with an allowance or something. I read in a book that "do not intend" box should be checked as this question generally geared towards those sponsoring short term visitors who would want to limit what they plan to provide during such a stay.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks, Adam and Cristhel

Yeah that section isn’t applicable to K1 petitions, i would just leave that section rather than checking “i do not intend” part.

In the new revised I-134 form dated 2/28/2021 - Question #38 now regards contributions.  You leave the yes/no boxes "unchecked" and your explanation is submitted in Part 7 on page 8 of the new form.

You will do this:
3.a. "Page 4"
3.b. "Part Number 3"
3.c. "Item Number 38"
3.d. "N/A (K1 Visa Process For Permanent Residence)"
